Rugby World Cup
Not a massive fan of this sport. Seems everyone forgets the rules when on the pitch and give away stupid penalties.

One thing thoug I'm pretty sure it was meant to be played in 30C temperatures. Those big guys will be collapsing in this heat.

It used to be great, but I think there’s just too many games now. Seeing it once every few years on a tour was one thing - seeing it every few weeks with all the internationals played has seen it lose its impact.

All those tongues out makes me think of people who do selfies with their tongues sticking out.

Re: Rugby World Cup
as predicted, the ABs just didn't have the bottled to get it done.

The missed conversion by your man with the Choo Choo Train run up...

Barrett's body language for the penalty miss, you could see the miss coming.

Bookies odd on favourites in the Final,.

Did the woman beater deliberately take out the SA best player ? history would say it's an AB tactic.

Cane has to lower his body height going into that tackle. Them the rules.

Not a huge fan of Barnes but thought he had a good game overall.

Finally, has the HAKA had it's day? I find it a bit cringe in 2023. A bloke standing there with a spear and others sticking there tongues out.

Anyway, back to West Ham today...no need for Jonah to post again until he is glued to the 6Ns

Glad the Boks won, I see that massive helmet, Lomas is coming out with all kinds of excuses as to why the ABs lost.

Re: Rugby World Cup
It actually shows the stupidity of RU rules. Barnes acknowledged during the game that he made a mistake awarding a penalty in the 1st half & SAF kicked 3pts from it.
Winning margin was 1pt & Barnes gifted SAF 3pts - which he knew was a mistake before the penalty was taken.

NZ missed 5pts from the boot & made Barnes' retardedness relevant.

Expect Barnes & his exuberant TMO team to officiate in the EPL some weekend soon.
Yes I'm bitter. Before tournament started I reckoned either NZ or SAF would win.
You can probably guess from the tenor of my posts which side I backed.

Re: Rugby World Cup
Well, we all know which 2 decisions decided that game.

1 was a yellow upgraded to a red when it probably shouldn't have been.

And 1 yellow card left at yellow when it probably should have been upgraded.

That's been the issue with the TMO for quite a while - inconsistency.

I think the big takeaway from this RWC is that there needs to be some redefining of what they can and can't intervene over.

Typically with Wayne Barnes involved, and playing against SA the game was stop-start and full of water breaks for the Saffas.

Its a shame that yet again the big talking points involve the officials and not the quality of the rugby.

Ahh well, we got further than i thought we would before the tournament started.

A real arm wrestle that could have gone either way with no complaints.
Came down to that crucial waste of energy prematch doing a ludicrous native dance.

SAF won their 3 knock-out games by 1pt & should've lost each of them.
They didn't score after the 34th min in this game.

Re: Rugby World Cup
Still, at least it’ll piss Lomax off. Makes the Saffa’s the best rugby side now with 4 wins.got to hurt the AB’s knowing they are firmly second best now.

RU love their rules, so how about another one for them.
You can’t win a game without scoring a try; or, double the points value for a try.

btw the books try WAS from a forward pass.

Reckon New Zealand we’re pretty clear for a try there - long way to go but not many numbers back down that side. Kolbe cheating again.
